Gary Boyd CV
Talent ID Scout with Fulham FC - UEFA 'A' Licence Coach
Gary Boyd is a football coach from Northern Ireland who, by his own admission, had a limited playing career due to a hip injury sustained as a child.  However, Gary has been fortunate enough to forge himself a professional career in sport over the last 16 years and has been coaching for over twenty years in England, USA and Northern Ireland.  He has held a UEFA ‘A’ Licence since 1999 and has had the privilege of working with some of the UK’s best youth coaches and player developers since 1998.
In 1998 he gained a position as a Coach at Crewe Alexandra’s famed Youth Academy that, under the management of Dario Gradi, has either turned around or nurtured the career of players like; former England internationals David Platt (Aston Villa, Juventus, Sampdoria  and Arsenal), Rob Jones (Liverpool), Geoff Thomas (Crystal Palace), Danny Murphy (Liverpool) and Dean Ashton (West Ham) as well as other former English Premier League stars such as Bruce Grobbelaar (Liverpool), Neil Lennon (Leicester City and Celtic), Robbie Savage (Leicester City, Birmingham City and Blackburn Rovers), Craig Hignett (Middlesborough) and David Vaughan (Sunderland) and current Premier League players Billy Jones (Sunderland), Nick Powell (Manchester United) and Ashley Westwood (Aston Villa) to name a few.
In 2003 Gary returned to Northern Ireland to work as a Youth Development Officer for the Irish FA and at the end of 2004 he left to take up a position as a Sports Development Officer with a local authority.  During this time Gary was fortunate enough to use his knowledge and experience to work with some players who have since went onto gain a career in the professional game in England and Scotland.  It was his success and experience as a youth coach that gained him the opportunity work with Fulham FC Youth Academy from 2010 and has worked as a Talent ID Scout for the club for the last three years.

Qormi nursery took the initiative to organise once again a football summer school, in the Qormi Sports Complex. This summer school has been organised in collaboration with the Qormi local council, Jesmond meat market and RCV Handling machinery.

Over 120 boys and girls ages between 5 to 14years participated in this event.  The sessions were led by the Qormi nursery coaches that worked hard, so each kid will have a   unique experience plus  preparation  for the upcoming season.  Each individual session included lots of fun games to promote physical activity.

The last week of  the Qormi Nursery Summer School was held in collaboration with 3 professional Sheffield Wednesday coaches that gave their input with all our boys/girls and without any doubt this collaboration was once again of a great experience among the young footballers.

This year’s Summer activities came to end on Sunday 7th September with the end of year Presentation at our football premises.

The Qormi Football Nursery is accepting applications from kids who want to join our nursery, for further information can be obtained by phoning on 79450552, or by visiting our nursery facebook, Qormi Youth Football nursery.

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

Sur Segretarju,
GRAZZI tas-support tagħkom għaliex il-messaġġ wasal, illum waqt il-laqgħa tal-Kunsill ta’ l-MFA, b’vot assolut favur (vot wieħed ta’ astenzjoni) daħlu fis-seħħ l-emendi fir-regolamenti dwar:

(a)              l-eta’ ta’ loans ta’ plejers, li issa jibda minn eta’ ta’ 12 il-sena l-fuq.
(b)              il-protokol mediku, li issa huwa kompatibbli għall-tlett snin u li jgħodd ukoll għal-liċenzja ta’ l-MFA għan-nurseries.
B’dawn ir-regolamenti qed inkomplu niftħu aktar opportunitajiet biex aktar plejers f’etajiet żgħar ikomplu jipprattikaw u jersqu lejn il-logħba tal-futbol.
Inħeġġu sabiex dan il-proċess ta’ tibdil fir-regolamenti fl-etajiet tan-nurseries, ikompli jkollu s-support sħiħ tagħkom, biex inkomplu naraw aktar tibdil fil-futur, li minnu jibbenifika kulħadd.
Inselli għalik.
