YFA Annual Seminar 2014

Is-Seminar Annwali tal-Youth Football Association, inżamm nhar is-Sibt 23 ta’ Awissu 2014, ġewwa l-Palace Hotel tas-Sliema. Il-parteipazzjoni kienet waħda tajba ferm bil-partecipazzjoni ta’ amministraturi u kowcis minn nurseries affiljati.

Is-seminar ta’ din is-sena reġa kien wieħed vast b’suggetti varji. Fil-ftuħ tas-seminar Fr. Hilary Tagliaferro, President ta’ l-Assocjazzjoni qal li s-suġġetti magħżula f’dan is-seminar kienu jirriflettu l-ħsieb, u fejn trid tasal l-Assocjazzjoni. Fid-diskors tiegħu Fr. Hilary għamel appell, biex tinbidel l-mentalita’, biex aktar plejers li ma jilgħabux, jimxu minn nursery għall-oħra mingħajr ma jithallas kumpens għalihom. Dan il-fatt qed jeqred ħafna plejers żgħar milli jkomplu jilgħabu l-futbol.

Ms. Elaine Bonnici, Sports Director ta’ Special Olympics Malta, għamlet sezzjoni dwar Unified Sports, fejn interessanti ferm, issa li, wħud minn nurseries qed jintegraw tfal b’dizabilita’ u oħrajn b’attenzzjoni specjali qed ikun meħtieġ li jkun hemm aktar għarfien kif jigu trattati dawn il-persuni. Is-sur Marcel Mizzi, li huwa l-programme manager tad-data system tal-passaporti ta’ l-Assocjazzjoni, li ġew introdotti minn Jannar ta’ din is-sena, fisser kif fit-tieni fazi ta’ dan il-proċess, fi ftit taż-żmien ieħor, in-nurseries ikunu jistgħu jdaħħlu u jikkontrollaw enrolment ta’ plejer ġdid, huma stess. L-importanza ta’ din id-data se tkun riflessa fis-snin li ġejjin, fejn minna tista’ toħroġ diversi tipi ta’ statistika mportanti.

Ms. Adele Muscat, Sports Psychologist, fetħet għad-diskussjoni wara prezentazzjoni tajba suġġett bit-tema ‘Helping players through transitions’, liema suġġett ser jidħol aktar fil-fond billi ser jinżamm seminar ta’ kontiwazzjoni fix-xhur li ġejjin. L-aħħar topic f’dan is-seminar kienet l-esperjenza ħajja ta’ Cottonera Nursery, fejn is-sur Stephen Spiteri spjega d-diffikultajiet fiż-żona tal-Cottonera, u kif l-unika triq kienet l-amalgamazzjoni, fejn għal-ħafna  kienet tidher tqila, li dawn it-tlitt ibliet jingħaqdu, iżda fil-futbol taz-zaghzagh irnexxiet, għaliex ġiet iffurmata nursery waħda li taħdem għat-tlitt ibliet. L-amalagamazzjoni ta’ nurseries huwa suġġett fuq l-Agenda tal-Youth FA, li jrid jiġi studjat u jitressqu proposti, fejn jidher li fis-snin li ġejjin din is-sitwazzjoni ser tinfirex fuq aktar irħula zgħar, fejn in-numru ta’ tfal qed dejjem jonqos.

Is-sur Robert Gatt, Direttur taċ-Ċentru Tekniku, spjega l-programm li kien hemm imħejji għall-istaġun 2014/2015 u li jrid jiġi mħaddan fix-xhur li ġejjin. Il-President tal-MFA, is-Sur Norman Darmanin Demajo għalaq dan is-seminar billi semma’ kemm kienu ghal qalbu l-Youth FA u n-nurseries kollha affiljati. Huwa kompla billi fakkar li wara li sar investiment fl-infrastruttura tal-Clubs, li minna gawdew in-nurseries ukoll, issa qed nidħlu f’fażi oħra, dik tal-coaching education u tibdil tar-regolamenti, specjalment fejn jidħlu l-plejers żagħżagħ, fejn jeħtieġ li jkun hemm tibdil radikali f’din is-sezzjoni tar-regolamenti biex ikun hemm aktar moviment hieles sabiex il-plejers jimxu mingħajr restrizzjonijiet żejda. Il-President għamel appell sabiex in-nurseries ukoll joħorġu mill-confort zone u jidħlu għall-sfidi ġodda.

Fil-ġranet li ġejjin jiftħu l-kampjonati tal-Youth FA 2014/2015, b’format ġdid fejn il-kampjonat jibda’ b’forma ta’ K.O. biex jistabilixxi l-livelli tas-sezzjonijiet, fejn wara jitkomplew il-fazi tal-ġruppi.
